PrivateYakuso (medicinal herb) steam
A private sauna built from containers inside Mitatsumisaki beach park in Ashikita, Kumamoto. It comprises three units — sauna, cold bath and cafe — and the sauna room is finished in packed earth walls, filled with the scent of herbs gathered locally. Booking is required, with four sessions a day at 4,000 yen per person for 2.5 hours. Closed Wednesdays. The cafe is open to non-users and serves drinks such as mugwort enzyme milk.
