大谷元気炉六号基｜AZUMAYA
Oya Genkiro No.6 is a permanent experiential art installation set in an underground former quarry space in Oya-machi, Utsunomiya, Tochigi. Medicinal herbs are placed in a large cauldron of boiling water, and the resulting steam is piped into the artwork. The interior fills with hot herbal steam so dense that visibility drops below one meter, surrounded by the scent of herbs. The operator positions it not as a sauna but as an "experiential art installation." Reservation-only, four sessions per day, roughly 120 minutes per session.
