THE WATERS -Retreat Terrace Enbara-
A fully private sauna on a tree terrace beside the Enbara River in Yamagata City, Gifu, taking only two groups a day. The herbal steam sauna uses a superheated-steam generator together with seasonal herbs, and the fee covers the domestic-herb steam session and exclusive use of the terrace. The cold bath draws Enbara River groundwater filtered through limestone, around 14C even in summer, and the rest area sits in a moss-covered forest. Sessions run three hours each.
