Founded in 1946 in Ogaki, Gifu, this facility offers herbal steam bathing. Its house method derives from a steam bath devised in 1804 by Ransai Ema, a physician of Mino. More than ten kinds of herbs, gathered on the foothills of Mt. Ibuki and grown pesticide-free on site, are blended, and the resulting steam fills a barrel of koyamaki wood that guests enter standing. Bathing rooms, changing rooms and rest rooms are all separated by gender. Herbal floor steaming and yomogi (mugwort) steaming, the latter for women only, are also available.
